چکیده

A three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide decorated with iron nanoparticles (3D rGO-Fe2O3) material a suitable porous structure was synthesised using one-step hydrothermal process in order to fabricate novel electrodes for capacitive deionization (CDI) water desalination. The morphological and structural properties of the as-synthesised compounds were characterised by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Raman spectroscopy (RS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). CDI electrochemically analysed cyclic voltammetry (CV) electrochemical impedance (EIS). maximum value specific capacitance 345 F g?1 achieved at 5 mV s?1 scan rate NaCl 0.1 mol L?1 solution. ion removal performance evaluated solutions different concentrations, showing electrosorption capacities as high 945 mg 11,700 (200 mmol L?1) solutions, which substantially surpasses results other carbon-based electrodes.

Carbon black-intercalated reduced graphene oxide electrode with graphene oxide separator for high-performance supercapacitor

We present a general study on a high performance supercapacitor based on intercalated reduced graphene oxide with carbon black nanoparticles. Graphene oxide sheets were synthesized by oxidation and exfoliation of natural graphite and were reduced using hydroiodic acid in the presence of carbon black nanoparticles. Graphene paper was fabricated by one-step procedure via simultaneous reducing and...

Ultrahigh Performance of Novel Capacitive Deionization Electrodes based on A Three-Dimensional Graphene Architecture with Nanopores

In order to achieve optimal desalination during capacitive deionization (CDI), CDI electrodes should possess high electrical conductivity, large surface area, good wettability to water, narrow pore size distribution and efficient pathways for ion and electron transportation. In this work, we fabricated a novel CDI electrode based on a three-dimensional graphene (3DG) architecture by constructin...

Reduced Graphene Oxide-Cr2O3 Nanocomposite as Electrode Material in Supercapacitors

In recent years, electrochemical supercapacitors have received considerable attention from many researchers. Metal oxides such as chromium oxide with high redox activity, high specific capacity, and excellent reversibility are suitable alternatives to ruthenium oxide in supercapacitor applications. In this study, first, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized by the modified Hummers method. The syn...

Enhanced conductivity of reduced graphene oxide decorated with aluminium oxide nanoparticles by oxygen annealing.

A process involving the filtration of graphene oxide (GO) dispersion through an alumina membrane, followed by oxygen annealing to synthesize alumina nanoparticles exclusively at the edges of holes or vacancies in the reduced graphene oxide (rGO) plane, is used to prepare paper-like composites with a 21% enhanced electrical conductivity. Moreover, the rGO/alumina nanocomposites have a smaller ba...
